APPA's 2025 National Pet Owners Survey: 95 million U.S. households own a pet. 2024 pet-industry sales were $158 billion (pet food & treats $68.3B); 2026 projected at $165 billion (food $69.7B). Cat ownership rose 23% in 2024.
